Description

Shaxon’s TAA Compliant Slim CAT 6 patch cables are manufactured in the United States to meet Trade Agreements Act (TAA) requirements—ideal for government, military, and federally funded network installations. These cables feature an ultra-slim 28 AWG stranded UTP design with a reduced outer diameter, improving airflow and saving space in high-density environments such as data centers, racks, and patch panels.

Equipped with a flush molded clear finger boot, the RJ45 plug is protected from damage without adding bulk, enabling neat and efficient installations. Despite the slim form factor, these cables conform to all CAT 6 performance standards and pass full channel testing, ensuring reliable high-speed connectivity with flexibility for tight routing and frequent movement.

Key Features:

  • Ultra-Slim 0.15in Cable OD: Reduces congestion and improves airflow in dense installations.

  • Stranded 28 AWG UTP Conductors: Offers superior flexibility and easier routing in patch panels and racks.

  • Flush Molded Clear Boots: Protect the RJ45 clip while allowing side-by-side port connections in high-density environments.

  • CM Rated Jacket: Compliant for commercial horizontal cabling installations.

  • Made in the USA / TAA Compliant: Suitable for use in secure federal, government, and military networks.

Benefits:

  • Space-Saving Design: Ideal for environments with limited space or high port density.

  • Clip Protection: Rugged boot helps prevent damage to RJ45 latches during frequent use.

  • Flexible Installation: Maintains performance while offering easy cable management.

  • Broad Compatibility: Backward compatible with both CAT 5e and standard CAT 6 systems.

  • Custom Options Available: Offered in various lengths and colors, with custom bundle configurations on request.

CATEGORY 6
Category 6 (Cat 6) cable is a standardized twisted pair cable used for Ethernet and other network physical layers. Backward compatible with Category 5/5e and Category 3 cables, it supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, and 1000BASE-T for up to 100 meters, and 10GBASE-T for distances up to 55 meters.

CABLING STANDARDS
Internationally recognized cabling standards are published by ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and TIA. For permanent installations, solid conductor UTP cables are typically 22–24 AWG. Slim patch cables use 28 AWG stranded conductors for improved flexibility and are ideal for short-distance patching applications.
