Description
Shaxon’s TAA Compliant CAT 6 patch cables are proudly manufactured in the United States to meet Trade Agreements Act (TAA) requirements, making them ideal for use in government, military, and federally funded installations. These cables feature a durable CM-rated jacket and stranded 24 AWG UTP conductors for reliable, high-speed performance in demanding networking environments. The non-booted design provides a streamlined profile that makes cable routing and plug-in/removal easier in tight or high-density setups.
These CAT 6 cables support data transmission speeds of up to 1 Gbps, delivering consistent performance for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and even limited-distance 10GBASE-T applications. Backward compatible with CAT 5e systems, these cables offer flexibility and reliability for a wide range of installations.

CATEGORY 6
Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat 6, is a standardized twisted pair cable for Ethernet and other network physical layers. It is backward compatible with Category 5/5e and Category 3 standards. CAT 6 provides performance up to 250 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, and 1000BASE-T for distances up to 100 meters, and 10GBASE-T for distances up to 55 meters.
CABLING STANDARDS
International cabling standards are published by ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). Since 1995, solid-conductor UTP cables for backbone cabling are required to be no thicker than 22 AWG and no thinner than 24 AWG, or 26 AWG for shorter-distance cabling.
