Account Manager

Position Description:

A. Purpose and Scope:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for retrieving all inbound calls and placing outbound calls, qualifying potential prospects and closing sales to meet pre-defined revenue goals.

B. Roles and Responsibilities:

Determine pricing structure and customer requirements in order to complete and deliver signed proposals which meet Shaxon Industries, Inc. guidelines and standards.

Answer inbound calls, qualify potential prospects, determine customer needs and recommend solutions.

Review prospect list, make 30 outbound calls per day to qualify potential prospects, determine customer needs and recommend solutions.

C. Organization Relationship:

The Inside Sales Representative reports directly to the Sales Manager.

D. Performance Metrics:

Achievement of sales quotas

Volume and quality of Inbound and Outbound calls

Customer Sales Satisfaction



Job Requirements or preferred skills:

A. Education and Training:

BA degree in business or equivalent experience is preferred.

B. Job history and technical skills:

1 -2 year's prior sales or related experience is preferred

Knowledge of cabling industry in order to understand customer's business is preferred

Proficiency in business applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Mas200 and Goldmine is a plus.

Strong ability to sell over the phone, understand customer requirements, negotiate and influence buying decisions and close sales is required.

Required interpersonal skills:

Demonstrate professional selling skills over the phone with the ability to actively listen, understand and communicate customer requirements.

Hands-on approach to overcoming obstacles, problem solving and clearly communicating Shaxon Industries products as the Customer Solution.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
